Kim's Grandmother's Radio
When Kim's Grandmother wasn't talking on the phone she would listen to the gospel on this radio on top of the refrigerator and use the stool as a prayer bench.
Kim's Bathroom Tile
Kim remembers that the bathroom tile was pink and grey with small flowers on some of the tiles.
Kim's Dining Room Mirror
Kim remembers one day straightening her hair in front of this mirror while her mom was on the phone. When she was finished her mom was shocked that she had straightened her own hair, and then never helped her straighten her hair again.
Kim recalls coming home at night with her sisters and no one else would be home. Her mother had left them and her father worked the night shift at the post office, so the whole house would be dark. Her and her sisters would be scared to go upstairs, so all four of them would pile into this armchair by the front door and wait until their dad came home.
